अन्धेन तमसा लोका:ः प्रावृता न चकाशिरे । प्रणष्टा ज्योतिषां भाश्व सह सूर्येण भारत
andhena tamasā lokāḥ prāvṛtā na ca kāśire | praṇaṣṭā jyotiṣāṃ bhāśva saha sūryeṇa bhārata ||
Mọi cõi bị phủ kín bởi bóng tối mịt mù nên chẳng còn rạng sáng. Ôi Bhārata, ánh huy hoàng của các thiên thể—hành tinh và tinh tú—đều biến mất khỏi tầm nhìn cùng với mặt trời.
