तेन विश्व कृतमेतद्धि राजन् स जीवयत्यात्मनैवात्मयोनि: । ततो देवानसुरान् मानवांश्न 23064 “३६ ९०.३ [ प्रजाश्न । समासेन त् सर्वान् सदा भूतपति: सिसृक्षु:
tena viśva-kṛtam etad dhi rājan sa jīvayaty ātmanāivātma-yoniḥ | tato devān asurān mānavāṁś ca prajāś ca | samāsena tu sarvān sadā bhūta-patiḥ sisṛkṣuḥ ||
Bhīṣma thưa: Tâu Đại vương, chính Ngài đã làm phát sinh toàn thể vũ trụ này; và Đấng Tự-sinh (Ātmayoni) ấy dùng chính năng lực của mình mà duy trì sinh mệnh cho muôn loài. Từ Ngài, sự sống và sự nâng đỡ tuôn chảy đến chư thiên, a-tu-la, loài người và hết thảy chúng sinh. Nói gọn, Chúa tể của muôn loài hằng theo đúng trật tự của Pháp (Dharma) mà muốn tạo lập và gìn giữ sự sinh tồn của mọi sự sống.
