अश्रिभ्यां सह सोमं च पिबाम विगतज्वरा: । फिर तो मदके मुखमें पड़े हुए देवताओंने आपसमें सलाह करके इन्द्रसे कहा --'देवराज! आप विप्रवर च्यवनको प्रणाम कीजिये (इनसे विरोध करना अच्छा नहीं है)। हमलोग निश्रिन्त होकर अश्विनीकुमारोंके साथ सोमपान करेंगे”
aśribhyāṁ saha somaṁ ca pibāma vigatajvarāḥ |
Cyavana nói: “Hãy cùng uống Soma với đôi Aśvin, để thoát khỏi mọi cơn sốt và khổ não.” Trong mạch truyện quanh đó, các chư thiên—kinh hãi trước hậu quả của việc đối địch với bậc hiền thánh—bèn bàn nhau rồi thưa với Indra: “Đấng Thiên vương! Xin ngài hãy cúi đầu đảnh lễ vị Bà-la-môn tối thượng Cyavana (chống đối ngài ấy chẳng lành). Khi ấy chúng ta mới có thể an nhiên uống Soma cùng hai Aśvin.”
