एवं दग्धा भगवता दानवा: स्वेन तेजेसा । अगस्त्येन तदा राज॑ंस्तपसा भावितात्मना,'“राजन्! इस प्रकार शुद्ध अन्तःकरणवाले भगवान् अगस्त्यने अपने तप और तेजसे दानवोंको दग्ध कर दिया था
evaṁ dagdhā bhagavatā dānavāḥ svena tejasā | agastyena tadā rājan tapasā bhāvitātmanā ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Tâu Đại vương, chính như thế, các Dāṇava đã bị bậc thánh hiền Agastya—đấng có nội tâm thanh tịnh, được tôi luyện bởi tapas—thiêu rụi bằng chính uy quang tâm linh của mình.”
