मुज्च भार्यामुतथ्यस्य कस्मात् त्वं हृतवानसि । “वरुण! तुम मेरे कहनेसे मेरी पत्नीको छोड़ दो। तुमने क्यों उसका अपहरण किया है? तुम लोगोंके लिये लोकपाल बनाये गये हो
muñca bhāryām utathyasya kasmāt tvaṁ hṛtavān asi
Arjuna nói: “Hãy thả vợ của Utathya. Vì sao ngươi lại bắt nàng đi? Các ngươi được đặt làm những vị hộ thế, chứ không phải kẻ phá hoại trật tự xã hội. Soma đã gả con gái cho ta; nàng là thê tử hợp pháp của ta. Vậy hôm nay ngươi lấy cớ gì mà bắt cóc nàng?” Theo lời Utathya, Nārada đã chuyển lời ấy đến Varuṇa, chúa tể của nước, thúc giục ngài thả người phụ nữ và chất vấn lẽ công bằng của việc cưỡng đoạt.
