तत आहूय सोतथ्यं ददावत्रिरयशस्विनीम् | भार्यार्थे स च जग्राह विधिवद् भूरिदक्षिण:
tata āhūya sotathyaṁ dadāv atrir ayaśasvinīm | bhāryārthe sa ca jagrāha vidhivad bhūridakṣiṇaḥ ||
Rồi sau một thời gian, hiền giả Atri—thân phụ của Soma—triệu Utathya đến và gả cho ngài người cháu gái lẫy lừng của mình (Bhadrā). Utathya, nổi tiếng hào phóng với sính lễ dồi dào, đã cử hành nghi thức nắm tay theo đúng pháp và nhận nàng làm thê tử chính danh.
