शुभाशुभानि कर्माणि मृत्यु: कालश्न सर्वश: । विश्वेदेवा: पितृगणा मूर्तिमन्तस्तपोधना:

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | śubhāśubhāni karmāṇi mṛtyuḥ kālaś ca sarvaśaḥ | viśvedevāḥ pitṛgaṇā mūrtimantas tapodhanāḥ ||

Translation

Bhīṣma nói: “Mọi nghiệp thiện và bất thiện đều được Thần Chết và Thời Gian quan sát trọn vẹn. Các Viśvedevas và đoàn thể Pitṛs hữu hình—giàu công đức khổ hạnh—cũng dõi theo. Tuy vô hình, những chứng nhân thiên giới ấy thấy rõ hạnh kiểm của muôn loài; và khi được tưởng niệm, tán dương, họ ban quả báo tương xứng, nâng đỡ trật tự đạo lý của thế gian.”
