Shloka 140

एको विष्णुर्महदभूतं पृथग्भूतान्यनेकश: । त्रीललोकान्‌ व्याप्य भूतात्मा भुछुक्ते विश्वभुगव्यय:

eko viṣṇur mahadabhūtaṃ pṛthagbhūtāny anekaśaḥ | trīl lokān vyāpya bhūtātmā bhuṅkte viśvabhug avyayaḥ ||

Bhīṣma nói: Chỉ riêng Viṣṇu là Thực tại tối thượng. Ngài đã trở thành vũ trụ bao la, nhưng lại hiện ra như bị phân chia thành vô số hữu thể riêng biệt. Bao trùm ba cõi với tư cách là Tự ngã nội tại của mọi loài, Đấng Bất hoại—đấng nâng đỡ và “thọ hưởng” vũ trụ—trải nghiệm mọi sự qua chính các hữu thể ấy.
