अनादिर्भूभ्भुवो लक्ष्मी: सुवीरो रुचिराड़ूद: । जननो जनजन्मादिर्भीमो भीमपराक्रम:
anādir bhūr-bhuvo lakṣmīḥ suvīro rucirāṅgadaḥ | janano jana-janmādir bhīmo bhīma-parākramaḥ ||
Bhīṣma nói: Ngài là Đấng vô thủy, nguyên nhân đầu tiên của muôn loài. Ngài là chỗ nương tựa của đất và các cõi, là chính vẻ huy hoàng khiến mọi điều đẹp đẽ tỏa sáng. Ngài là bậc anh hùng cao quý, mang những vòng tay rực rỡ; là Đấng sinh thành của hết thảy hữu tình và là căn nguyên đầu tiên đứng sau sự sinh ra của kẻ được sinh. Với kẻ ác, Ngài là Bhīma—đáng kinh sợ—và dũng lực của Ngài tự thân cũng khiếp đảm, áp đảo mọi chống đối.
