Bhīṣma’s Yogic Departure, Royal Cremation, and Gaṅgā’s Lament (भीष्मस्य योगयुक्त्या देहत्यागः, पितृमेधः, गङ्गाविलापः)
कर्मणामस्य कौन्तेय नानन््तं संख्यातुमुत्सहे । शाश्व॒तस्य पुराणस्य पुरुषस्य युधिष्ठिर,कुन्तीपुत्र युधिष्ठिर! इन सनातन पुराणपुरुष श्रीकृष्णके चरित्रोंकी कोई सीमा या संख्या नहीं बतायी जा सकती
karmanām asya kaunteya nānantaṁ saṅkhyātum utsahe | śāśvatasya purāṇasya puruṣasya yudhiṣṭhira ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Hỡi Yudhiṣṭhira, con của Kuntī—ta không dám đếm cho hết những hành nghiệp vô lượng của Đấng Vĩnh Cửu, bậc Nhân Thần nguyên sơ ấy. Những chiến công của Ngài không có giới hạn nào có thể đo lường hay kể xiết.”
