Educational Q&A

The verse praises disciplined household conduct—rising properly, serving the home, maintaining cleanliness, and ritual purity—as a form of dharma that yields the merit associated with satī-dharma (virtuous wifely conduct).

Śrīmahēśvara is describing the qualities of an ideal householder-wife, emphasizing daily routine, service, and purification practices as ethically and religiously meritorious.
