धर्मनिन्दा–धर्मोपासनाफलम् तथा साध्वाचारलक्षणम्

Fruits of Disparaging vs. Observing Dharma; Marks of Good Conduct

क्षत्रियो वा महाभागे वैश्यो वा धर्मचारिणि । स्वानि कर्माण्यपाहाय शूद्रकर्म निषेवते

kṣatriyo vā mahābhāge vaiśyo vā dharmacāriṇi | svāni karmāṇy apāhāya śūdrakarma niṣevate ||

Maheshvara nói: “Hỡi phu nhân cao quý, hỡi người theo dharma—dù là Kshatriya hay Vaishya, nếu bỏ bổn phận được ấn định của mình mà làm công việc thuộc về Shudra, người ấy rơi khỏi trật tự của mình, trở thành nguyên nhân của sự pha tạp varṇa (varṇa-saṅkara), và ở đời sau sẽ sinh trong ‘bào thai Shudra’. Dù là Brahmin, Kshatriya hay Vaishya, bởi hạnh ấy mà người ta đi đến tình trạng và tâm tính của Shudra.”
