संसिद्धिर्नियमै: सद्धिर्वनवासमुपागतै: । वानप्रस्थैरिदं कर्म कर्तव्यं शूणु यादूशम्,नियमोंका पालन करके सिद्ध हुए वनवासी साधु वानप्रस्थोंको यह कर्म करना चाहिये। कैसा कर्म? यह बताता हूँ, सुनो
saṁsiddhir niyamaiḥ sadhbhir vanavāsam upāgataiḥ | vānaprasthair idaṁ karma kartavyaṁ śṛṇu yādṛśam, niyamōṁkā pālana karake siddha hue vanavāsī sādhu vānaprasthoṁko yaha karma karanā cāhiye | kaisā karma? yaha batātā hūṁ, śuno |
Śrī Maheśvara phán: “Sự viên mãn đạt được nhờ các phép tắc và kỷ luật của những bậc hiền thiện đã bước vào đời sống rừng núi. Vì thế, các vị vānaprastha phải thực hành bổn phận này. Hãy nghe ta nói rõ bổn phận ấy là gì.”
