Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
अर्द्धमानाश्च विबुधा ग्रहेण सुबलीयसा । शिवदत्तवरान् जष्नुरसुरेन्द्रान सुरा भूशम्
arddhamānāś ca vibudhā graheṇa subalīyasā | śivadattavarān jaṣṇur asurendrān surā bhūśam ||
Vāsudeva nói: “Khi Graha vô cùng hùng mạnh ấy bắt đầu quấy nhiễu chư thiên, các deva—dẫu bị dồn ép—vẫn phản kích, đánh bại những chúa tể asura đã nhận ân phúc do Śiva ban. Thế là chiến tranh kéo dài giữa họ, cho thấy quyền lực được thần lực che chở mà dùng để áp bức ắt sẽ gặp sự kháng cự và xung đột dai dẳng.”
