Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
शत्रुनाशक श्रीकृष्ण! आप जिनकी प्रार्थना करते हैं
śatrunāśaka śrīkṛṣṇa! āpa jinakī prārthanā karate haiṃ, ve teja aura tapasyā-kī nidhi, acintya bhagavān śaṅkara yahāṃ śama-ādi śubha-bhāvoṃ kī sṛṣṭi aura kāma-ādi aśubha-bhāvoṃ kā saṃhāra karate hue devī pārvatī ke sātha sadā virājamāna rahate haiṃ.
Hỡi Śrī Kṛṣṇa, bậc diệt kẻ thù! Đấng mà Ngài dâng lời cầu nguyện chính là Bhagavān Śaṅkara—kho tàng khôn lường của quang huy và khổ hạnh—ngự tại đây vĩnh viễn cùng Nữ thần Pārvatī, khai sinh những tâm niệm cát tường như sự an tĩnh và dập tắt những xung động bất tường như dục vọng.
