तत्राश्रमपदे श्रेष्ठे सर्वभूतमनोरमे । सेविते द्विजशार्टूलैवेंदवेदाड़पारगै:

Transliteration

tatrāśramapade śreṣṭhe sarvabhūtamanorame | sevite dvijaśārdūlaiḥ vedavedāṅgapāragaiḥ ||

Translation

Tại đó, trong ẩn viện tối thắng—đẹp lòng mọi loài—nơi các bậc Bà-la-môn ưu tú, tinh thông Veda và các bộ phụ trợ, thường lui tới, ta bước vào và thấy Upamanyu: viên ngọc giữa hàng Bà-la-môn, tóc bện rối, mặc áo vỏ cây, uy nghi rạng rỡ, do khổ hạnh mà bừng sáng như lửa, tính tình an hòa, sức trẻ sung mãn, ngồi giữa vòng đệ tử.
