Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
ब्रह्मविष्णुसुरेशानां स्रष्टा च प्रभुरेव च । ब्रह्मादय: पिशाचान्ता यं हि देवा उपासते
brahmaviṣṇusureśānāṁ sraṣṭā ca prabhureva ca | brahmādayaḥ piśācāntā yaṁ hi devā upāsate ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Chỉ riêng Ngài là Đấng Sáng Tạo và là Chúa tể tối thượng, ngay cả đối với Brahmā, Viṣṇu và các bậc chủ tể trong hàng chư thiên. Quả thật, các thần linh thờ phụng Ngài—cùng với hết thảy hữu tình, từ Brahmā ở đỉnh cao cho đến loài piśāca ở tận cùng—khẳng định rằng lòng tôn kính chân chính phải hướng về một nguồn cội và đấng cai trị tối hậu vượt trên mọi thứ bậc.”
