Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
त्वया द्वादशवर्षाणि व्रती भूतेन शुष्यता । आराध्य पशुभर्तारें रुक्मिण्यां जनिता: सुता:
tvayā dvādaśa-varṣāṇi vratī bhūtena śuṣyatā | ārādhya paśu-bhartāraṁ rukmiṇyāṁ janitāḥ sutāḥ ||
Vāsudeva thưa: “Suốt mười hai năm, Người giữ giới nguyện, lấy khổ hạnh làm cho thân thể gầy mòn. Nhờ vậy, Người phụng thờ Paśupati—Chúa tể muôn loài; và qua thai của hoàng hậu Rukmiṇī, các người con đã được sinh ra.”
