Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ

Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony

अपि कीट: पतड़्जो वा भवेयं शड्कराज्ञया । न तु शक्र त्वया दत्त त्रलोक्यमपि कामये

api kīṭaḥ pataṅgo vā bhaveyaṃ śaṅkarājñayā | na tu śakra tvayā dattaṃ trailokyam api kāmaye ||

Vāsudeva nói: “Theo lệnh của Śaṅkara, ta có thể trở thành cả một con sâu hay một con bướm đêm; nhưng hỡi Śakra, ta không ham muốn ngay cả quyền thống trị ba cõi nếu do ngươi ban. Bất cứ cảnh giới nào Mahādeva định đoạt—dẫu thấp hèn nhất—ta cũng xem là sự viên mãn tối thượng; còn vương quyền trên chư thiên, ta chẳng hề muốn nhận từ ai ngoài Ngài.”
