Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
गौर: श्यामस्तथा कृष्ण: पाण्डुरो धूमलोहित: । विकृताक्षो विशालाक्षो दिग्वासा: सर्ववासक:
gauraḥ śyāmas tathā kṛṣṇaḥ pāṇḍuro dhūmalohitaḥ | vikṛtākṣo viśālākṣo digvāsāḥ sarvavāsakaḥ ||
Vāsudeva nói: “Ngài hiện ra trong muôn hình—khi thì trắng sáng, khi thì sẫm màu, khi thì đen, khi thì nhợt; có lúc như màu khói, có lúc đỏ như đồng. Có khi đôi mắt Ngài như biến dạng, có khi lại rực rỡ với đôi mắt to đẹp. Có khi Ngài được thấy trần truồng, có khi lại được trang sức bằng mọi loại y phục.”
