Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
रुद्रभवत्या तु कृष्णेन जगद् व्याप्तं महात्मना । त॑ं प्रसाद्य तदा देवं बदर्या किल भारत
rudrabhavatyā tu kṛṣṇena jagad vyāptaṃ mahātmanā | taṃ prasādya tadā devaṃ badaryā kila bhārata ||
Bhīṣma nói: Nhờ Kṛṣṇa đại hồn—đấng mang uy lực của Rudra—mà toàn thể thế gian được thấm nhuần và bao trùm. Hỡi dòng dõi Bharata, người ta kể rằng thuở xưa, sau khi làm Mahādeva hoan hỷ tại Badarī, Kṛṣṇa đã nhận từ Đấng Chúa có thiên nhãn một trạng thái “được yêu mến” vượt trên mọi điều khác; vì thế Ngài trở thành bậc được yêu mến nhất trong mọi cõi.
