Land-gift episode; Pṛthivī Kāśyapī; Utathya–Varuṇa dispute
That a properly offered bali (ritual oblation), taught as a confidential dharma, is believed to be accepted by divine classes like the Maruts and Vasus and to yield cosmic and personal benefit—symbolized by the increase of Soma (the Moon) and the ocean—thereby affirming the link between disciplined ritual action and the maintenance of cosmic order.
Skanda is continuing an instruction on a ‘secret’ dharma: he states that the offering being discussed is received by certain gods, and he frames its efficacy in cosmic terms—strengthening Soma and the sea—concluding that he has explained an auspicious, welfare-bringing religious practice.
