भीष्म उवाच साम्ना प्रसाद्यते कश्नचिद् दानेन च तथा पर: । पुरुषप्रकृतिं ज्ञात्वा तयोरेकतरं भजेत्
bhīṣma uvāca | sāmnā prasādyate kaścid dānena ca tathā paraḥ | puruṣa-prakṛtiṁ jñātvā tayor ekataraṁ bhajet ||
Bhīṣma nói: Có người được chinh phục bằng lời hòa giải dịu dàng, lại có người chỉ chịu khuất phục trước của cải ban tặng. Vì vậy, hiểu rõ bản tính bẩm sinh của mỗi người, hãy chọn một trong hai phương cách ấy cho thích hợp.
