सदा द्वादशमासान्‌ वै जुह्मानो जातवेदसम्‌ | स्थानं वारुणमैन्द्रं च रौद्रं वाप्पधिगच्छति

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | sadā dvādaśa-māsān vai juhvāno jātavedasam | sthānaṃ vāruṇam aindraṃ ca raudraṃ vāpy adhigacchati ||

Translation

Bhīṣma nói: Ai trọn mười hai tháng không gián đoạn dâng lễ vật vào Jātavedas (lửa tế), sẽ đạt đến các trú xứ của Varuṇa và Indra, và cả cõi của Rudra. Lời dạy nhấn mạnh rằng việc hành tế lễ (yajña) bền bỉ, có kỷ luật và đều đặn sẽ đưa đến đích đến cao quý và được tôn kính giữa chư thiên.
