मानसतीर्थ-शौचप्रशंसा | Praise of the ‘Mental Tīrtha’ and the Marks of Purity

सदा द्वादशमासान्‌ वै जुह्मानो जातवेदसम्‌ | सरस्वती गोपयानो ब्रह्मचर्य समाचरन्‌

bhīṣma uvāca | sadā dvādaśa-māsān vai juhmāno jātavedasam | sarasvatīṁ gopayāno brahmacaryaṁ samācaran |

Bhīṣma nói: Người nào suốt trọn mười hai tháng không ngừng dâng lễ hiến vào lửa thiêng Agni Jātavedas, tiết chế lời nói và thực hành brahmacarya—đồng thời vĩnh viễn từ bỏ vòng hoa, hương chiên-đàn, mật ong và thịt—sẽ đạt đến các cõi của Marut và của Indra.
