Inquiry into the Discipline of Fasting
ज्येष्ठ: कुलं वर्धयति विनाशयति वा पुन: । हन्ति सर्वमपि ज्येष्ठ: कुलं यत्रावजायते
Bhīṣma uvāca: jyeṣṭhaḥ kulaṃ vardhayati vināśayati vā punaḥ | hanti sarvam api jyeṣṭhaḥ kulaṃ yatrāvajāyate ||
Bhishma nói: “Người trưởng có thể làm cho gia tộc hưng thịnh, hoặc cũng có thể đẩy vào diệt vong. Quả vậy, khi người trưởng mang tâm tính sa đọa, đáng khinh, thì có thể hủy hoại toàn bộ dòng tộc mà mình sinh ra.”
