अन्यद् रथ्यासु देवानामर्चायामन्यदेव हि । नरश्रेष्ठ) दूसरेके पहने हुए कपड़े नहीं पहनने चाहिये। जिसकी कोर फट गयी हो

Bhishma dạy về kỷ luật cá nhân trong việc y phục: “Chớ mặc áo quần người khác đã mặc; áo quần sờn rách ở gấu cũng không nên khoác lên mình. Hãy để riêng một bộ cho lúc ngủ, một bộ cho khi đi lại ngoài đường phố, và một bộ khác dành riêng cho việc thờ phụng chư thần. Ý nghĩa đạo đức là sự sạch sẽ, đúng mực và lòng tôn kính: thứ dùng cho sinh hoạt thường ngày không nên đem vào việc phụng sự nghi lễ thiêng.”
