Draupadī Episode
यश्चायं मन्युजो मेडग्निलोकानादातुमिच्छति । दहेदेष च मामेव निगृहीत: स्वतेजसा
yaścāyaṃ manyujo medhāgnilokān ādātum icchati | dahed eṣa ca mām eva nigṛhītaḥ svatejasā || śāpād dhi śaktir vāsiṣṭha tadā tad upapāditam | ātmajena sa doṣeṇa śaktinīta ito divam ||
Aurva nói: “Ngọn lửa này, sinh từ cơn phẫn nộ, muốn chụp lấy và nuốt trùm các thế giới. Nếu ta kìm giữ nó, nó sẽ quay lại thiêu rụi chính ta thành tro bụi bằng ánh rực của nó. Bởi, hỡi Vasiṣṭha, chính do lời nguyền của Śakti mà tai biến ấy đã được gây nên khi ấy; ông ta vì lỗi của chính mình mà rời cõi này lên trời—trong việc này, các rākṣasa không đáng bị quy tội.”
