Droṇa’s Ācārya-Dakṣiṇā: Capture of Drupada and Division of Pāñcāla (द्रोण-आचार्यदक्षिणा)
मा द्राक्षीस्त्वं कुलस्यास्य घोरं संक्षयमात्मन: । तथेति समनुज्ञाय सा प्रविश्याब्रवीत् स्नुषाम्
mā drākṣīs tvaṁ kulasyāsya ghoraṁ saṁkṣayam ātmanaḥ | tatheti samanujñāya sā praviśyābravīt snuṣām ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Chớ để chính mắt nàng phải chứng kiến sự diệt vong ghê gớm của dòng tộc này.” Nói “Xin vâng” để tỏ ý thuận, bà đi vào trong và nói với con dâu—cốt để họ khỏi mang gánh nặng đạo lý và nỗi đau khi phải nhìn thấy tai kiếp đang đến gần.
