Shloka 9

उपमन्युना कृष्णाय पाशुपतज्ञान-प्रदानम् तथा दानविधि-फलश्रुतिः

तपसा त्वेकवर्षान्ते दृष्ट्वा देवं महेश्वरम् सांबं सगणमव्यग्रं लब्धवान्पुत्रमात्मनः

tapasā tvekavarṣānte dṛṣṭvā devaṃ maheśvaram sāṃbaṃ sagaṇamavyagraṃ labdhavānputramātmanaḥ

Sau khi tu khổ hạnh trọn một năm, ông đã chiêm bái Đức Mahādeva—Maheśvara—cùng với Śakti (Sāmbha), có các gaṇa hầu cận, an nhiên không dao động; nhờ vậy ông được ban cho một người con. Khi tapas chín muồi thành bhakti kiên cố vượt khỏi dây trói (pāśa), Pati (Đấng Chủ) liền hiển lộ ân sủng đối với paśu (linh hồn bị ràng buộc).
