Suta Goswami (narrating to the sages of Naimisharanya)
It frames Linga-centered Śaiva practice as grounded in Pāśupata-jñāna received through guru-grace; worship is not mere ritual, but a transmission that makes the seeker fit (mānya) for Śiva’s path.
Śiva is implied as Pāśupati (Pati), the Lord whose divine doctrine liberates the pashu (individual soul) from pasha (bondage), chiefly through revealed knowledge granted via an authentic lineage and grace.
Pāśupata Yoga is highlighted as an initiatory knowledge-system (jñāna) transmitted by a muni; the emphasis is on disciplined Śaiva sādhanā empowered by guru-prasāda rather than standalone external rites.
