Sense-Discipline and Exclusive Refuge in Viṣṇu
श्रीकृष्ण उवाच / बुद्धिः पत्नी सा द्विरूपा खगेन्द्र दुष्टा चैका त्वपरा सुष्ठुरूपा / तयोर्मध्ये दुष्टरूपा कनिष्ठा ज्येष्ठा तु या सुष्ठुबुद्धिस्वरूपा
śrīkṛṣṇa uvāca / buddhiḥ patnī sā dvirūpā khagendra duṣṭā caikā tvaparā suṣṭhurūpā / tayormadhye duṣṭarūpā kaniṣṭhā jyeṣṭhā tu yā suṣṭhubuddhisvarūpā
Śrī Kṛṣṇa phán: Hỡi Vua loài chim, “Buddhi” (trí tuệ) được ví như người vợ có hai hình tướng—một bên hư hoại, một bên đẹp đẽ thanh tịnh. Trong hai hình tướng ấy, dạng hư hoại là người em; còn người chị là chính bản tánh của trí hiểu đúng đắn và cao quý.
