त्रिः स्नाता स्नापिता भैक्ष्यं गुरौ प्राणान्तिकी स्थितिः / समेखलो जटी दण्डी मुण्डी वा गुरुसंश्रयः
triḥ snātā snāpitā bhaikṣyaṃ gurau prāṇāntikī sthitiḥ / samekhalo jaṭī daṇḍī muṇḍī vā gurusaṃśrayaḥ
Người ấy nên tắm ba lần mỗi ngày, giúp người khác được thanh tịnh (bằng việc trợ giúp tắm gội), sống nhờ khất thực, và một lòng nương tựa nơi thầy cho đến tận cùng sinh mệnh. Mang một dây thắt lưng duy nhất, để tóc bện rối, cầm gậy, hoặc cạo đầu—hãy quy y nơi Guru.
