पुराणसङ्ख्यासम्भूतिमस्य वाच्यप्रयोजने । दानं दानस्य माहात्म्यं पाठादेश्च निबोधत ॥ ३ ॥

Transliteration

purāṇa-saṅkhyā-sambhūtim asya vācya-prayojane dānaṁ dānasya māhātmyaṁ pāṭhādeś ca nibodhata

Translation

Giờ đây xin hãy nghe bản tóm lược số lượng câu kệ của từng Purāṇa. Rồi hãy nghe về chủ đề chính và mục đích của Purāṇa Bhāgavata này, phương pháp đúng để dâng tặng như một sự bố thí, vinh quang của việc bố thí ấy, và cuối cùng là vinh quang của việc lắng nghe cùng tụng đọc/ca tụng tác phẩm này.
