Balarāma Visits Vraja: Consoling the Gopīs and Dragging the Yamunā
कच्चिन्नो बान्धवा राम सर्वे कुशलमासते । कच्चित् स्मरथ नो राम यूयं दारसुतान्विता: ॥ ७ ॥
kaccin no bāndhavā rāma sarve kuśalam āsate kaccit smaratha no rāma yūyaṁ dāra-sutānvitāḥ

This verse shows the intimate, personal bond of Vraja’s devotees: even in distance, their love expresses itself as concern for well-being and a longing to be remembered—an example of bhakti deepened through separation (viraha).
They lovingly address Balarama as Rāma and, feeling the pain of long separation, ask whether he (with his family) still holds them in his heart—revealing the familial, affectionate mood (vātsalya/sneha) central to Vraja-bhakti.
