Kāliya-damana: Kṛṣṇa Subdues the Serpent and Purifies the Yamunā

तं प्रेक्षणीयसुकुमारघनावदातं श्रीवत्सपीतवसनं स्मितसुन्दरास्यम् । क्रीडन्तमप्रतिभयं कमलोदराङ्‍‍‍‍‍घ्रि सन्दश्य मर्मसु रुषा भुजया चछाद ॥ ९ ॥

Transliteration

taṁ prekṣaṇīya-sukumāra-ghanāvadātaṁ śrīvatsa-pīta-vasanaṁ smita-sundarāsyam krīḍantam apratibhayaṁ kamalodarāṅghriṁ sandaśya marmasu ruṣā bhujayā cachāda

Translation

Kāliya thấy Śrī Kṛṣṇa mặc y phục lụa vàng, dáng vẻ mềm mại đáng chiêm ngưỡng; thân Ngài rực sáng như áng mây trắng, trên ngực mang dấu Śrīvatsa, gương mặt nở nụ cười đẹp, và bàn chân như vòng xoáy của hoa sen. Ngài vui đùa trong nước không chút sợ hãi. Thế nhưng Kāliya đầy đố kỵ đã giận dữ cắn vào ngực Ngài rồi quấn chặt Ngài trong những vòng thân mình.
