Sukta 114
मेदस्वता यजमानाः स्रुचाज्यानि जुह्वतः । अकामा विश्वे वो देवाः शिक्षन्तो नोप शेकिम
médasvatā yajámānāḥ srúcā́jyā́ni juhvátáḥ | akāmā́ víśve vo devā́ḥ śíkṣanto nópa śekím
Though rich in unction, we sacrificers, pouring ghee with the ladle, have not, O all ye Gods, duly served you—whether without right intent; therefore, correcting us, do ye release (the fault’s bond).
Chúng con, những người tế tự (yajamāna), tuy có nhiều bơ sữa tinh luyện, dùng muôi (sruc) rưới ghi và dâng vào lửa (juhvati), vẫn—hỡi chư Thần hết thảy—chưa phụng sự các Ngài đúng phép; có khi vì tâm ý không ngay, không có chủ ý đúng. Vậy xin các Ngài, khi sửa dạy chúng con, hãy tháo gỡ sợi trói của lỗi lầm.
