शुनं हुवेम मघवानमिन्द्रमस्मिन् भरे नृतमं वाजसातौ । शृण्वन्तमुग्रमूतये समत्सु घ्नन्तं वृत्राणि संजितं धनानाम्

IAST Transliteration

śunáṃ huvema maghávānam índram asmín bháre nṛ́tamam vā́ja-sātau | śṛṇvántam ugrám ūtáye samátsu ghnántaṃ vṛtrā́ṇi saṃ-jítaṃ dhánānām

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Auspiciously would we invoke Indra the Bounteous, in this encounter, the most heroic, in the winning of the prize;—him who hearkeneth, the fierce, for succour in the battles, smiting the Vṛtras, wholly victorious for the gaining of riches.

Translation

Chúng tôi kính cẩn, với điềm lành, thỉnh mời Indra Đấng Hào phóng trong cuộc giáp chiến này, trong cuộc tranh đoạt phần thưởng—Đấng anh dũng bậc nhất; Đấng lắng nghe, mãnh liệt, để cứu trợ giữa các trận chiến, đánh tan các Vṛtra, toàn thắng để giành lấy của cải.
