Sukta 107
तदिदास भुवनेषु ज्येष्ठं यतो जज्ञ उग्रस्त्वेषनृम्णः । सद्यो जज्ञानो नि रिणाति शत्रूननु यदेनं मदन्ति विश्व ऊमाः
tád íd ā́sa bhúvaneṣu jyéṣṭhaṃ yáto jajñá ugrás tvéṣa-nṛ́mṇaḥ | sadyó jajñānó ní riṇāti śátrūn ánu yád enaṃ mádanti víśva ū́māḥ ||
That verily was chiefest in the worlds, from whom was born the fierce one of flashing manly might. New-born, forthwith he driveth down the foes, whenso all exhilarating draughts do gladden him.
Quả thật, đó là bậc tối thượng trong các cõi; từ đó sinh ra kẻ dữ dằn, mang sức mạnh nam nhi rực chớp. Vừa mới sinh, lập tức Người đè bẹp quân thù, mỗi khi mọi chén rượu làm hân hoan (ऊमाः) khiến Người vui sướng.
