व्रजं कृणुध्वं स हि वो नृपाणो वर्मा सीव्यध्वं बहुला पृथूनि । पुरः कृणुध्वमायसीरधृष्टा मा वः सुस्रोच्चमसो दृंहता तम्
vrajáṃ kṛṇudhvaṃ sá hí vo nṛpā́ṇo vármā sīvyadhvaṃ bahulā́ pṛthū́ni | púraḥ kṛṇudhvam ā́yasīr ádhṛṣṭā mā́ vaḥ susróccam-aso dṛṃhata tám
Build ye the enclosure—for that is your men’s defence; sew ye on armour, many and broad. Make ye your ramparts, iron, unassailable: let not the high-crying foes make that to totter; make it firm.
Hãy dựng hàng rào bao bọc—vì đó là sự phòng thủ của các ngươi, hỡi những người đàn ông; hãy khâu giáp trụ vào, nhiều và rộng. Hãy làm lũy tiền tiêu, bằng sắt, không thể xâm phạm. Chớ để kẻ thù gào thét làm nó lung lay—hãy gia cố cho vững chắc.
