Sukta 9
इयं या परमेष्ठिनी वाग् देवी ब्रह्मसंशिता । ययैव ससृजे घोरं तयैव शान्तिरस्तु नः
iyáṃ yā parameṣṭhínī vā́g devī́ bráhma-saṃśitā | yayáivá sasṛjé ghóram táyaivá śā́ntir astu naḥ
This—she who is supreme—Speech, the Goddess compacted with brahman: by her indeed the dreadful was sent forth; by that same power let peace be ours.
Đây là đấng tối thượng—Ngôn (Vāc), Nữ thần kết tụ và tương ưng với brahman. Chính nhờ nàng mà điều ghê gớm đã được phóng xuất; cũng nhờ chính quyền năng ấy, nguyện bình an thuộc về chúng ta.
