Sukta 25
ज्वर-नाशनम्। यदग्निरापो अदहत् प्रविश्य यत्राकृण्वन् धर्मधृतो नमांसि । तत्र त आहुः परमं जनित्रं स नः संविद्वान् परि वृङ्ग्धि तक्मन्
yád agnír ā́po adáhat práviśya yátrākṛ́ṇvan dharmadhṛ́to námāṃsi | tátra te āhuḥ paramáṃ jánitraṃ sá naḥ saṃvidvā́n pári vṛṅgdhi takmán ||
When Fire, entering in, did burn the Waters, where the Upholders of Order wrought their reverences—there, men declare, is thy supremest birthplace: so, knowing it full well, O Fever, strip thyself away from us on every side.
(Diệt sốt) Khi thần Lửa Agni đi vào bên trong mà thiêu đốt các Nước, nơi những bậc nâng giữ Pháp (dharma-dhṛt) thực hiện các lễ kính—người ta nói: chính nơi ấy là chốn sinh ra tối thượng của ngươi. Hỡi Sốt (Takman), đã biết rõ điều ấy, hãy tự lột bỏ và rời khỏi chúng ta từ mọi phía.
