परिक्षीणं प्रतिहतं प्रहताग्रतरन्तथा आशानिर्वेदभूयिष्ठमनृतप्राप्तमेव च

parikṣīṇaṃ pratihataṃ prahatāgratarantathā āśānirvedabhūyiṣṭhamanṛtaprāptameva ca

Người ấy trở nên kiệt quệ hoàn toàn, bị ngăn trở và bị đánh gục; sức lực hàng đầu của người ấy cũng bị bẻ gãy. Rồi người ấy bị tràn ngập bởi nỗi tuyệt vọng đối với các hy vọng của mình, và điều đạt được rốt cuộc hóa ra là giả dối (hay đáng thất vọng) thật vậy.
