इत्य् आदिमहापुराणे आग्नेये अग्निकार्यकथनं नाम चतुर्त्रिंशो ऽध्यायः अथ पञ्चत्रिंशो ऽध्यायः पवित्राधिवासनादिविधिः अग्निर् उवाच सम्पाताहुतिनासिच्य पवित्राण्यधिवासयेत् नृसिंहमन्त्रजप्तानि गुप्तान्यस्त्रेण तानि तु
ity ādimahāpurāṇe āgneye agnikāryakathanaṃ nāma caturtriṃśo 'dhyāyaḥ atha pañcatriṃśo 'dhyāyaḥ pavitrādhivāsanādividhiḥ agnir uvāca sampātāhutināsicya pavitrāṇyadhivāsayet nṛsiṃhamantrajaptāni guptānyastreṇa tāni tu
Như vậy, trong Agni Purāṇa, chương thứ ba mươi bốn mang tên “Tường thuật các thủ tục nghi lễ Hỏa tế” đã kết thúc. Nay bắt đầu chương thứ ba mươi lăm: “Phép thức adhivāsana (tấn phong/an vị) các pavitra và các nghi thức liên hệ.” Agni phán: “Sau khi rảy (chúng) bằng lễ hiến gọi là sampāta, hãy làm lễ an vị các pavitra.
