Transliteration

pituḥ putrasya yaḥ putraḥ sa pitāmahanāmavān | evaṃ śrutiḥ sthitā ceyaṃ svarāpatyeṣu nānyathā || 53.12 ||

Translation

باپ کے بیٹے کا جو بیٹا ہو، وہ ‘پِتامہ’ کے نام سے موسوم ہوتا ہے۔ نسل و نسب کے باب میں یہ شروتی پر مبنی دستور اسی طرح قائم ہے، ورنہ نہیں۔
