पृच्छितवानस्मि राजेन्द्र तदा मधुरभाषिणीम् । का असि भद्रे कथं वा असि किं वा कार्यमिह त्वया । कर्तव्यं चारुसर्वाङ्गि तन्ममाचक्ष्व शोभने ॥ २.६० ॥

pṛcchitavān asmi rājendra tadā madhurabhāṣiṇīm | kā asi bhadre kathaṁ vā asi kiṁ vā kāryam iha tvayā | kartavyaṁ cāru-sarvāṅgi tan mamācakṣva śobhane || 2.60 ||

اے راجندر، تب میں نے اس شیریں گفتار خاتون سے پوچھا—‘اے بھدرے، تم کون ہو؟ کیسی ہو؟ اور یہاں تمہارا کیا کام ہے؟ اے خوبصورت، خوش اندام، جو کرنا لازم ہے وہ مجھے بتاؤ۔’
