The Glory of Varāha’s Rite: Merits of Cow-dung Plastering, Sweeping, Singing, Instrumental Music, and Dance

with a Truth-Vow Exemplum

तृप्तिं यास्यामि परमां विधात्रा विहितां मम॥ ब्रह्मरक्षोवचः श्रुत्वा श्वपाको गीतलालसः॥

tṛptiṃ yāsyāmi paramāṃ vidhātrā vihitāṃ mama || brahma-rakṣo-vacaḥ śrutvā śvapāko gīta-lālasaḥ ||

“میں وہ اعلیٰ ترین تسکین پاؤں گا جو میرے لیے ودھاتا (مقدّر کرنے والے) نے مقرر کی ہے۔” برہمرکشس کی بات سن کر، گیت کا مشتاق شواپاک (آگے کے بیان کے مطابق) متوجہ ہوا۔
