तावगतावथाब्रूतां राजन् दुर्ज्जय लोकपाः । निवारितास्त्वया सर्वं लोकपालैर्विना जगत् । न प्रवर्त्तत तस्मान् नौ देहि तत्पदमुत्तमम् ॥ १०.४२ ॥

tāv agatāv athābrūtāṃ rājan durjjaya lokapāḥ | nivāritās tvayā sarvaṃ lokapālair vinā jagat | na pravarttata tasmān nau dehi tatpadam uttamam || 10.42 ||

وہ قریب آ کر بولے— “اے راجا دُرجّیَ! ہم لوک پال تمہارے ہاتھوں روک دیے گئے ہیں؛ لوک پالوں کے بغیر سارا جگت اپنا کام نہیں چلا سکتا۔ لہٰذا ہمیں وہ اعلیٰ منصب (عہدہ) عطا کرو۔”
