Pretas
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Gautama and/or the assembled brāhmaṇa audience in the episode (immediate narrative frame)
Scene: Brāhmaṇas extend hands in request; the man turns away mid-stride, running, dust rising from his feet—his speed symbolizing denial.
Habitual refusal of dāna—especially by evasive avoidance—hardens into a karmic destiny.
Prabhāsakṣetra serves as the sacred narrative arena; the verse stresses charity as dharma.
Implied: practice dāna when approached by worthy recipients, rather than fleeing.
