bhṛgoḥ putro mahābhāgaḥ sabhāryastapasi sthitaḥ | tasya putrastadā jāto vasatastu vanāṃtare
Īśvara (Śiva) (continuing narration)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra (frame)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A serene forest hermitage: a Bhr̥gu-descended sage with his wife engaged in tapas; a newborn child in a leaf-thatched āśrama, with sacrificial implements and quiet woodland light.
Austerity grounded in household dharma (with one’s spouse) and forest-discipline is portrayed as a fertile ground for sacred destinies.
The immediate verse is genealogical, but it serves the Prabhāsakṣetra Māhātmya’s larger frame that glorifies Śaiva sacred power.
Tapas (austerity) is highlighted as the operative discipline; no specific vrata or pūjā items are enumerated in this line.
